Day 6

Sadly, this was our last day in Haiti.  We spent the day giving out school bags put together by children in Fairfax, Virginia.

Day 5

Today was a very early day for the team.  We left at 7:00 a.m. for the church to have party number 3 and didn't return until 7:00 p.m.  It was a fun and awesome day as we hosted 2400 children from several orphanages at the party.

Day 4

Today was day #2 of parties!

We hosted just under 2000 children.  The children were very receptive to the gospel.  They enjoyed the puppet show and Joe-Joe, the big dog, that we bring with us each time from Raleigh.  The children sang songs and praised the Lord.  They are such sweet children!

People were outside the cement walls, looking through the bars, and wishing to get in, but sadly only those with a sticker were allowed to enter.  They were able to watch the whole party, though, by climbing up on the wall or looking through the metal gates.

As you can see from the photos, our team played a big role in passing out food, drinks and gifts to the children.

Friday will be our last day here, and we will depart for home on Saturday.  A BIG thank you to all who have been praying for us while we are here in Haiti.  Our team has been eating well, all are healthy, and ministry has been successful.  God is good!

Stay tuned for a special Saturday post . . .

Day 3

Today was the first day of the Christmas parties, and there were 2000+ children in attendance.

The photos really are better than words, so here's a peek . . .

After the Christmas party, we visited the boys' home.  They acquired 16 more boys over the summer of all ages bringing them to a total of 47 boys!  They are sweet, loving, share with one another well, and are as cute as can be.  We were also able to share plates of food with these boys and were amazed that the younger ones ate as much as the older ones.  Each boy was excited to receive 2 full-size candy canes.

The weather has returned to its normal HOT, but God is good and has been faithful in giving our team strength and stamina in continuing HIS work and will in ministering to these children.
